AirPlus International enables automatic billing of parking fees
AirPlus International, a leading provider of solutions for the day-to-day management of business travel, has jointly developed with Fraport AG a new transaction-based billing solution called “AirPlus Corporate Parking”. This brings the payment expert another step closer to “invisible payment”.
With a corporate parking card activated by their company, travelers gain access to all public parking blocks at Frankfurt Airport. After the stay there is no longer any need to pay at the machine; travelers can head straight to their cars. The car-finder technology developed by Fraport helps travelers by informing them of the exact location of their vehicles by e-mail. The actual parking duration is centrally billed through the AirPlus Company Account. In this way, AirPlus and Fraport offer the highest level of payment comfort through paperless processes, complete transparency and high data quality.
“The service product developed with AirPlus in an open-innovation project offers true added value for our business travel customers and is a milestone in the digitization of the travel process,” said Gerald Krebs, Senior Vice President Parking and Landside Traffic at Fraport AG.
“We are very happy about the collaboration with Fraport. Initial customer experiences, such as those of Deutsche Telekom, have been very positive,” confirmed Uli Danz, Head of Research and Development at AirPlus. “With this solution we have created great satisfaction on both sides. While travelers enjoy a fully automated process, companies receive a pinpoint billing of the fees. Complete transparency, reliable data – AirPlus Corporate Parking is a further link in the paperless process chain.”
