Using mobile payment keeps you from touching buttons physically or exchanging cash when making payments. Just hold your device near the terminal and authorise your payment wherever you find the contactless symbol, Apple Pay or Google Pay at checkout.
All personal information is secure
When you make a purchase, Apple Pay and Google Pay use a device-specific number and a unique transaction code. Your full card number is never stored on your device and it can’t be shared with merchants.
Security tips for dealing with credit cards
- Never give out your credit card information via phone.
- Do not share PIN codes or verification data such as a one-time SMS code or TAN via app with third parties.
- Reputable credit card institutions, including AirPlus, never contact their customers by phone to perform or verify the setup of Apple Pay or Google Pay using credit card data.
