The AirPlus Company Account is a centrally lodged account that a business can use to invoice airline tickets and train tickets. The payment platform utilized is UATP.

The transparency of travel costs generally begins to yield savings with a transaction volume of at least $100,000.


If a company has several subsidiaries, then, yes, every subsidiary can have its own AirPlus Company Account. For smaller businesses with only one travel agency, this isn’t necessary, because even with just one card, the AirPlus invoice provides a very detailed overview of incurred travel costs. These can then be further sorted by descriptive billing data.


The AirPlus Company Account is used to purchase airline and train tickets in the US. Depending on the AirPlus Merchant Agreement, selected travel agency services/charges may also be invoiced.


With an AirPlus Merchant Agreement, a special agreement can be made between you and AirPlus, allowing you to invoice all services and charges through the AirPlus Company Account.


When invoicing travel agency services via the AirPlus Company Account, the travel agency receives payment from AirPlus on the payment date given in the AirPlus Merchant Agreement.

When invoicing airline flights via AirPlus Company Account, the travel agency receives its payment (commission) from the airline (via ARC in the US).

Descriptive billing data is supplementary data details which provide you a clear overview of the AirPlus invoice. An example of DBI is cost center or employee ID number.


Descriptive billing data are used for allocating travel costs to the originator and can make reconciliation and data integration easier for the Travel Manager.


Descriptive billing data are entered into the descriptive billing data template and can be corrected with the “DE transaction” on the day of ticket issue.


Descriptive billing data must be entered into the customer profile in a certain format (RM*). Then the automatic transfer of descriptive billing data from the customer profile can occur.


AirPlus Electronic Billing is the delivery of AirPlus invoice data in an electronic format for integration and/or processing into other accounting systems (i.e. SAP or Oracle).


The AirPlus Corporate Card is the full T&E solution credit card for a company’s travel spend. The AirPlus Corporate card in the U.S. is issued in conjunction with Wright Express and is based on the MasterCard platform. Business travelers can use this card to pay for travel expenses.

Management Information Systems evaluate data, according to certain parameters, to formulate information in a more transparent and easily utilized way.


AirPlus Information Manager is the management information system from AirPlus. It is used for the evaluation, control and analysis of a company’s travel costs.


This data is helpful to negotiate corporate rates with airline companies, thereby lowering the company’s long-term travel costs.


AirPlus will make the data available to you in the desired format (i.e. CSV, PDF).


The customer receives an easy-to-read invoice with clear allocations of costs and high quality data.


No physical card is mailed, as it is a lodged (or ghost) account. The client's Company Account number and validity date are lodged with the agency centrally in the BAR.
