Global Study Highlights Corporate Travel Cost Cutting Measures –
Managers Predict Less Travel and Continuation of Stricter Travel Policies
AirPlus International, Inc. today releases its fifth annual Travel Management Study, a comprehensive and global study which surveys 1,500 travel managers in total from 15 countries. This year’s study highlights the worldwide importance of cost-cutting measures in travel programs across the board with more respondents expecting the number of trips to fall for the first time in the Study’s history. Furthermore, the attitudes and heightened importance of today’s travel manager are explored and evaluated. More than half (58%) of the global study respondents expect their travel policies to become more restrictive and even more of them (70%) are implementing stricter policies to enforce it. Expectations for meetings are also on the decline and the expectation for trips overall has one-third of those surveyed expecting a decrease.
