Former Executive Director Operations at AirPlus in new position as of January 1

As of January 1, 2018, Spencer Hanlon (45) has become a new member of the Managing Director Board at AirPlus, a leading international provider of solutions for the day-to-day management of business travel. In this position Hanlon is responsible for Operations (COO) and Transformation (CTO).

Spencer Hanlon is now at the side of Patrick W. Diemer, Chairman of the Board of AirPlus, and Roland Kern, Member of the Management Board. Hanlon will drive IT, Processing, Demand and Project Management. His main responsibility will be the implementation of the “MasterPlan”: The enterprise-wide transformation of the AirPlus IT architecture and the accompanying transformation of the organization.

“With his vast experience in Sales, Marketing and Operations, Spencer Hanlon is an asset to the AirPlus Management Board. We are convinced that he will successfully lead the company through the upcoming transformation. In doing so he will receive extensive support from the entire company,” said Patrick W. Diemer.

Spencer Hanlon has been with AirPlus International for almost 15 years. He was previously employed by British Airways for ten years in various management positions globally. Hanlon is a Qualified Management Accountant and studied at the University of Newcastle in Great Britain. He lives with his family near London.
