New AirPlus white paper examines the future of corporate travel payment // Technological progress will reduce work effort
Ways to pay digitally are becoming more and more diverse. This trend will transform the work of travel managers. How this might look in practice is shown in a new white paper by AirPlus International entitled “The Future of Corporate Travel Payments”. Here travel managers learn what the new options are in electronic payment solutions and how they can significantly improve the processes related to the booking and payment of business travel. The white paper reveals how digital payment can redefine corporate travel strategies and how the requirements of travelers and companies can be better met.
Mobile, virtual and invisible: Those are the features of the new digital payment solutions. Smartphones provide the technology basis for this. Apps and mobile wallets make it possible to carry out booking and payment transactions comfortably in a fully automated way, such as when leaving a restaurant, parking at the airport or taking a taxi to the hotel. Separate chapters explain the virtual, mobile and invisible payment options. “These trends signify the biggest changes for corporate travel since the inven-tion of the credit card,” said Michael Fürer, Director Sales Germany at AirPlus Interna-tional. “Central bill accounts will continue to play a big role. They will also form the basis for all corporate travel transactions in the future. We call that Central Bill Account 2.0. What is important is that the credit card providers supply the necessary technological innovations.”
