AirPlus International repeatedly recognized as outstanding employer // Three awards within a short period of time
This year AirPlus, the leading international provider of solutions for daily business travel management, was presented with renowned industry prizes for three HR functions: The company is a Great Place to Work, can regard itself as Best Recruiter, and has been awarded the Excellence in Education and Talent Management quality seal of the 2015 German Education Prize.
In the contest for Germany’s Best Employer, conducted throughout the country by the Great Place to Work Institute, AirPlus ranked 28th in the category Companies with 501 to 2,000 employees. The Great Place to Work Institute honors organizations that offer their staff members a particularly trustworthy, respectful and attractive workplace culture. In addition to extended staff surveys, the award is based on a corporate-culture audit of the quality of human resources and management.
AirPlus received the silver medal in the Best Recruiters by Career study which mainly assesses application handling and applicant management. At 72 percent, AirPlus ranked third among all employers in Germany in the services providers segment and 35th among the 516 companies and institutions analyzed for the study. Participating companies are evaluated in these categories: career information on the website, social media recruiting, content and scope of job advertisements, application handling, and contacting applicants.
As part of the 2015 German Education Prize presented by TÜV SÜD Akademie and EuPD Research Sustainable Management, AirPlus was selected to win the Excellence in Education and Talent Management quality seal from among 171 competing companies. AirPlus’ comprehensive options for development with a focus on professional and personal competences were graded as particularly positive. The evaluation was based on Germany’s first expert-supported and field-tested model for the quality of corporate education and talent management.
AirPlus’ staff members appreciate the flexible working times, flat hierarchies and diversified responsibilities for innovative projects that promote their personal success. According to the annual staff survey, 98 percent of staff members would choose AirPlus as an employer again. The reason for this high level of satisfaction is an actively promoted corporate culture characterized by fairness, equal rights, and internationalism which offers diverse opportunities for staff members to advance their careers through a targeted growth strategy.
“Our organization’s success and growth are strongly conditional on our staff members’ performance and potential,” says Beate Eberhardt, Executive Director Human Resources at AirPlus International. “This is why our activities aimed at development emphasize the advancement of the professional and personal competences of all our staff members. Our objectives are to acquire a varied workforce for a challenging, yet supporting work environment and to develop, motivate and retain staff over the long term.”
This year, AirPlus again offers high school graduates a number of apprenticeships in business fields as well as dual studies for a bachelor of arts in international business or a bachelor of science in information technology.
