The most recent edition of the AirPlus International Travel Management Study clearly shows that 91 percent* of business travelers based in Germany are annoyed by long waits and, thus, are even more impatient than the global average (87 percent).
Credit card specialist AirPlus International interviewed 941 travel managers in countries around the world about their travelers’ opinions regarding business trips. Are they a cause of joy or rather an annoying chore? According to the large majority (62 percent) of travel managers in Germany, business travel has its positive and its negative sides.

Nineteen percent of travel managers in Germany regard business travel as purely positive. Only three percent of interviewees stated that their staff members do not like to travel, a figure that almost corresponds with the global and the Western European average.
The key quality factor when it comes to business travel is good planning (92 percent), followed by meeting colleagues in person (83 percent) and seeing new cities and countries (76 percent). Key factors of frustration are waiting, followed by being away from home (81 percent), plans changing on short notice (74 percent), and lengthy travel times (72 percent).
