Update of the General Terms and Conditions

Changes to the General Terms and Conditions applicable to AirPlus’ products

In late 2015, the European Union adopted Payment Service Directive 2 (PSD2). Based on PSD2, the regulation regarding the implementation of payment services (“Zahlungsdiensteumsetzungsgesetz”), to come into force on 13 January 2018 in Germany, will require changes to be made to the German Civil Code concerning payment transactions. This regulation will ensure that cashless payments throughout Europe become easier, more secure and more transparent.

As your partner for business travel management, security and transparency are AirPlus’ top priorities. Because the changes also apply to some of our products, we have updated our General Terms and Conditions (GTCs). Also, we conducted reviews based on the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which will come into effect on 25 May 2018, and have adjusted some of the wording in our GTCs to comply with new regulations.
