From hotels to cab rides, business travel payments can take a variety of forms. Google Pay gives you fast and secure access to your daily expenses right from your smartphone. Payments are just a tap away when you use Google Pay with your AirPlus Corporate Card.

You don't have to handle cash or touch card readers. Pay with your smartphone anywhere contactless payments are accepted. When you want to pay, simply unlock your phone, hold it up to the reader, and watch for the check mark. That's it!

Google Pay doesn't share your actual card numbers, so your payment information stays secure. Just pay and go, knowing that your payments are securely encrypted before, during, and after each purchase.

Set up your AirPlus Corporate Card with Google Pay via the AirPlus Mobile App. Simply tap the "Add to Google Pay" button in the AirPlus Mobile App and follow the instructions.

Or alternatively, follow these 3 steps via Google Wallet™:

  • Open the Google Wallet app or download the app from Google Play.
  • Tap 'Add to Wallet' and follow the instructions.
  • Verify your card if necessary. Then you are ready to go!


When setting up your AirPlus Corporate Card with Google Pay, please keep a few safety tips in mind:

  • Do not share PIN or verification data such as SMS or TAN codes with third parties.
  • AirPlus will never contact you to set up or verify Google Pay using credit card information.

  • What are the technical requirements for using Google Pay?

    To use Google Pay, you need an Android device (with Android 7.0 or higher or Wear OS™ 2.0 and higher for smartwatches) equipped with Near-field Communications (NFC) and Host Card Emulation (HCE).

  • Is it possible to pay offline?

    Yes, that’s possible. You can use Google Pay when mobile data is deactivated, or the flight mode is switched on. However, there is a limited number of consecutive offline payments. You then need to go online to use Google Pay again.

  • What should I do if Google Pay does not work?

    Please check whether one of the following applies to your AirPlus Corporate Card:

    • Is the Card locked?
    • Did you deposit a lock for specific transactions, for example online-payments?
    • Is there a sufficient credit limit?
    • Is the trader’s terminal connected to the internet?
    • Does your device meet the technical requirements to use Google Pay?

  • What are the costs of Google Pay?

    Google Pay is free to use for your company and all AirPlus Corporate Card users.

  • Are there any other security tips to consider?
