We are constantly optimizing our products and developing new solutions for our customers. In 1992, we presented the world’s first credit card with a microchip. Our analytical tool for flight expenses, introduced in 1994, sets international standards to this day. Since 1997, we have given our customers the opportunity to combine data from multiple credit cards for analysis – we are still the only payment provider worldwide to do this. In 2001, we launched the AirPlus Business Travel Portal to meet individual customer requirements, and since 2003, customers have enjoyed the power of our AirPlus Information Manager, the intelligent online management and analysis tool for professional travel management.
Since 2006 the AirPlus Business Travel Index has been providing current benchmark figures and market trends, giving direction to companies that are implementing new cost reducing strategies. A.I.D.A., also introduced in 2006, supports AirPlus Company Account Acceptance by guaranteeing excellent data quality and improved analysis opportunities. With the introduction of FlexEbill in 2007, companies can format their invoice data in CSV format to exactly suit their individual requirements.
