AirPlus Brings Innovative Customizable Electronic Invoice Format to Corporate Payment Market

FlexEbill Gives Companies Full Control to Customize Electronic Invoices to Meet Individual Needs

AirPlus International, the leading global travel payment provider is setting a new standard of service for corporate payment invoicing with a customizable invoice structure. FlexEbill is a new tool that enables companies to create and modify the format of their billing information at any time through the AirPlus Business Travel Portal.

“Instead of providing a standard electronic invoice format, corporate account departments will use FlexEbill to design the exact format in which they will receive the AirPlus Electronic Billing statement, which can be directly integrated into their accounting system,” said Richard Crum, president, AirPlus International. “Our corporate customers can match their invoice structure to the way they do business, saving them reconciliation time, and in turn money.”

Corporations can select, arrange and combine any invoice field information using FlexEbill. They can easily delete, add to or change existing fields in their invoice sequence, changing the format of the electronic invoice at any time. Another advantage is that no internal interfaces have to be changed, thus avoiding the normal cost of adapting downstream systems.

AirPlus Electronic Billing offers a range of benefits for companies: it simplifies cost-intensive paper-based reconciliation procedures and reduces the error rate by automatically downloading data into corporate expense systems. A recent study by Ipsos Loyalty 2006, commissioned by AirPlus, demonstrates the importance of electronic billing in travel management. The survey shows that on average 48 percent of companies have switched all or at least some of their billing procedures to electronic billing, with every third company surveyed saying they intend to switch to full electronic billing in the future.

AirPlus International is a global leader in business travel payment solutions, offering central payment accounts, corporate cards and online management information tools. AirPlus is the preferred payment partner of airlines around the world, including Continental Airlines (NYSE:CAL), British Airways (NYSE:BAB), Lufthansa German Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines and TAP Portugal. AirPlus is the world’s largest issuer of UATP. Visit www.airplus.com for more information.
