2005/11/30AirPlus Enhances Travel Accident Insurance: Increased Customer Security with Substantial Upgrades
AirPlus International, a leading global supplier of corporate travel payment solutions, announced today upgrades to its AirPlus Company Account travel accident insurance. AirPlus renegotiated with its insurance provider to enhance the travel accident insurance coverage up to $750,000 when the travel is purchased using the AirPlus Company Account, AirPlus’ central payment product. Additionally, AirPlus has added several new insurance upgrade options that can be added on to the basic AirPlus Company Account insurance coverage, raising the value of AD&D coverage up to $1 million.
“Traveler security is a key issue today, and the AirPlus Company Account travel accident insurance enhancements will put both corporations and their travelers more at ease,” said Richard Crum, AirPlus International President and CEO. “With each ticket that is purchased with the AirPlus Company Account, corporations receive detailed trip data and travelers are automatically covered by one of the industry’s best automatic travel accident insurance programs.” The travel accident insurance renegotiation took place on a global platform so that all U.S. subsidiaries and divisions outside of the U.S. will be covered under the same insurance program when their travel is purchased with the AirPlus Company Account.
