2005/09/15New AirPlus/Radius Partnership Offers Shareholder Agencies Value And Cost Savings
AirPlus International, a leading global supplier of corporate travel payment solutions, and RADIUS – the global travel company, announced today the signing of a preferred payment partner agreement. The agreement gives US-based RADIUS shareholder agencies a customizable, robust and data rich payment tool to offer to their customers, as well as a cost savings through AirPlus’ low merchant fees. “AirPlus is pleased to provide RADIUS with a new tool to support its shareholder agencies’ efforts to provide the best possible solutions to their corporate clients,” said Richard Crum, AirPlus International President and CEO. “AirPlus’ tailor-made solutions are an ideal fit for RADIUS agencies’ corporate clients that require detailed reporting on a segmented or multi-national level.” Through the partnership, RADIUS’ US shareholder agencies will offer AirPlus Company Accounts and AirPlus Corporate Cards to corporations that have the need for a more customizable and sophisticated travel payment solution. AirPlus can also consolidate travel data from around the world and from a variety of other sources, including competing corporate cards. AirPlus is the largest issuer of UATP, a central-bill ghost account that maintains the card industry’s lowest merchant service fee, saving the agencies who accept AirPlus as a form of payment a substantial amount of money. Tony Hughes, RADIUS President and CEO commented: “RADIUS agencies are committed to continuously improving their clients’ business processes by providing access to our market-leading global expertise, technology tools and supplier programs. As the travel scene becomes ever more complex, it is important to further enhance and strengthen the products that work. To that end, the preferred payment partner solution offered by AirPlus substantially enhances our agencies’ value to their clients by delivering cost effectiveness and advanced process quality that is consistent with the business environment in which they operate.” About AirPlus: AirPlus International is a global leader in business travel payment solutions, offering central payment accounts, corporate cards and online management information tools.
